MOON SHINE ADVENTURES LET US HOWL AT THE MOONLIGHT.

Join Summit Land Conservancy as we head out into the wide open under the light of the full moon or the dark skies of the new moon. Enjoy hiking, biking, and photography in your favorite open spaces guided by our talented partners! These one-of-a-kind experiences will take place once a month throughout the season, and will last about 1.5-2 hours.

Summer is coming in hot, and we can’t wait to celebrate the Solstice with YOU in Round Valley!

Please join Summit Land Conservancy and Mountain Trails Foundation on Sunday, June 21 for a Solstice Moon Shine Social! We will gather and grill at the intersection of Seventy 101 and Round Valley Express-- So swing by with your adventure crew as you hike, bike, or run on the longest day of the year. Grab some grub, cold drinks, cool swag, and watch the moon rise over the horizon. You won't want to miss the panoramic views and good company too!

Hike with Wasatch Trails Foundation

Lace up your boots and grab your friends! Join Summit Land Conservancy & Wasatch Trails Foundation for an evening hiking adventure under the Buck Moon, named for the time when male deer begin to regrow their antlers.

Golden Hour Photography with NGP Adventures

Thursday, August 27 |6:30-8:00 PM| location: TBD

Capture the beauty of the Sturgeon Moon and blooming wildflowers on this photography adventure. No matter your skill level, our photography guide will share tips to help you make the most of golden hour, with wildflowers as your subject. As the sun sets and the full moon rises, you’ll also have the chance to photograph the Sturgeon Moon, named for the abundance of fishing in the Great Lakes.

Hike and History with Park City Ghost Tours

September’s Moon Shine Adventure will be led by Erik Hutchins of Park City Ghost Tours. We will wander up the canyon through protected open space and venture to where hundreds of miners toiled deep in the mines and prospected for fortune. From the Weeping Widow to the Man in the Yellow Slicker, we will learn about the spirits who walk there still.


All moonrise times are for Park City, UT according to the Old Farmer's Almanac website.
